An Israeli special military unit carried out an assassination operation in Ramllah, yesterday, on Aug. 20th. killing a 22 year Mohammad Sadaat, according to news networks. Mr. Saddat is the younger brother of Ahamd Sadaat, the General secretary of the PFLP (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine) and who is at moment in a Palestinian jail in Jericho.
According to eyewitness reports, Mr. Mohammad Sadaat was in his small grocery store in one of Ramalah city痴 neighborhoods when suddenly a number of Israeli paramilitary members attached the store. Apparently, Mohammad pulled his handgun and began firing at the attackers, injuring two, one of them seriously.
Minutes later, a larger group of Israeli soldiers arrived to the scene and opened fire inside the shop. More then ten bullets hitting the head and body killed Mr. Mohammad instantly. Local Palestinians who were present in the area saw an Israeli Ambulance car, the red Star of David, taking the injured 都oldiers・and whisked them away to a hospital.
Immediately, the family of Sadaat, residing near the shop, came out to check on their son. The mother and the rest of the family found Mohammad in a pool of blood with his face down. The mother, profoundly shocked, screamed in agony as family members tried to calm her down.
One spokesman for the PFLP told media sources, ・rest assure that the PFLP will reply with firmness against this murder.・
・This is a new crime which adds up to the totality of the crimes of Israeli occupation.・SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Said Mr. Abu Redina, representing the Palestinian National Authority.
The mood among Palestinians was strongly disappointing as news broke about the cold-blooded murder of the young, 22 year old, Mohammad Sadaat. Especially so when a security agreement has just been reached between the Palestinians and Israeli, resulting in the so-called Gaza First Deal.
One Palestinian man in Gaza said,・how can Israelis talk about withdrawals and still continue the policy of assassination. It is utterly unacceptable to us. This is like moving one step forward but taking two steps back at the same time. Israeli crimes of assassination and occupation in general must stop. ・/P>
